I’m a wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, living in Cincinnati and trying to figure out what is happening in this world.
I grew up in the church. My grandfather was a Southern Baptist minister, my mom was a PK (preacher’s kid). As a child, I attended the Church of Christ. As a young adult, I attended the Roman Catholic Church with my ex-husband, then, after we divorced, attended a “charismatic” Presbyterian Church. I next attended Vineyard Community Church for 15 years (and was on staff for five of those years) — and then I began wandering. I am now a Church Refugee, a pilgrim seeking powerful questions to deepen my understanding of what I believe about spirituality and God. I’ve tried Episcopal and Quaker and more. Along the way, I became part of Jim Henderson’s Off The Map team and now, Jim Henderson Presents.
If I lived in Denver, I’d be at The Refuge with Pastors Kathy Escobar and Karl Wheeler.
I coach, consult, facilitate, convene, and teach. These days, much of my life (and not just my work) is grounded in the small group methodology of Peter Block’s A Small Group Six Conversations. With my friend Margaret Rahn, I have developed the HeartWork Conversation Series.
