A young woman named Rachel Clark sent this message to me on facebook today

“I want to say thank you. Last year when we spoke I had a certain view on where women should be in the church. Our conversation and your questions got me thinking on what I really really really feel. I have liberated myself some in my views. I still do not feel completely that a woman should be a pastor—something about a woman running a church—it just seems to me that is a male’s role.

However, I see independent, strong capable women moving mountains in the name of Jesus…but if a woman feels led to pastor a church…then go for it, I am not going to judge!!! I have grown a lot in the last year and I just want to be used where God wants me used and won’t judge anyone else on where they are in their walk. Only God knows our hearts and in the end that is all that matters.

Thank you for what you do for women!!!

  1. Bravo! I’m not saying BRAVO because you’ve decided that you wouldn’t suppress a woman who is called to pastor. I am very glad to hear that you decided to look outside of “what we’ve always accepted” and prayefully consider what you really, really, really believe. Truth has a funny way of winning in the end, doesn’t it? Keep up the conversation. And, by the way, thanks for reading the book.
